Today is Independence in Barbados. My beautiful island turned 51 today and I celebrated it quietly, by writing my Christmas cards and heading to work. It has been a long road from the colonial rule of Britain to democracy for Barbados and I believe that I have been supremely blessed to grow up here.
I will share with you a few of Barbados' symbols and culture:

Wishing you all the best for the holiday season! Thanks for sticking with me through this November challenge. Onward to to December!
