WIP: Le Hatte
Dear readers, never before has a work in progress been such exactly that. Find others here!
I wanted to make a hat for my Canadian friend out of sock weight yarn. So I decided to hold three strands together to make it go faster since he was soon coming(and because when I was making my second ball it literally flew off the winder!). Then I had to hodge-podge some patterns together. I am currently starting the decrease rounds and hoping that it will fit a someone!
I mixed Horizontal Ribbed Hat by Marci Blank from my Sock Yarn, One Skein Wonders Book with a bluky weight pattern: - Man Hat. Honestly it doesn't look like either one!
The yarn is from Aloha Blue, a very talented Fiber Magician on Etsy. I am never disappointed.

ReplyDeleteHow sweet to make him a hat! I like the way that the colours are mixing up with three strands together!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun combination of the two patterns. NIce color too!
ReplyDeleteOooh, gone all French, have we? avec le hatte and all...what great ideas you have! I just love the way you plunge in and invent new things, and this one is just great.
